AGARTALA: A workshop on the Integrated Health Management Information System (IHMIS) was held at Pragya Bhawan here on Tuesday, alongside the formal launch of West Tripura district as the state’s model district for implementing an integrated digital health system.
The event was attended by Dr. Sunil Kumar Barnwal, IAS, Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Authority, Government of India. Other dignitaries present included Kiran Gitte, IAS, Secretary of Tripura’s Health and Family Welfare Department; Dr. Pankaj Kumar Arora, IRHS, Director of the National Health Authority; Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav, IAS, Deputy Secretary of the National Health Authority; Saju Wahid A., IAS, Additional Secretary of Health and Family Welfare and Mission Director of the National Health Mission; and Dr. Bishal Kumar, IAS, District Magistrate and Collector of West Tripura.
The programme was convened by Dr. G. Sharat Nayak, IAS, State Mission Director of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, Tripura.
Officials described the initiative as a significant milestone toward building a digitally integrated, interoperable, and citizen-centric health system in the state, with West Tripura set to serve as the model for statewide rollout.
