Teliamura: Six people were seriously injured today after two vehicles collided on the Assam-Agartala National Highway in the South Pulinpur area under Teliamura Police Station.
According to sources, the collision occurred on the busy highway stretch, leaving both vehicles extensively damaged and the injured trapped inside. Locals and passersby reportedly rushed to the spot and pulled the victims out before police and emergency responders arrived.
The injured were rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment, with sources indicating that some of them sustained critical injuries. Their current condition has not yet been officially confirmed.
Teliamura Police reached the accident site soon after being alerted and are investigating the exact cause of the collision, though preliminary reports suggest possible over-speeding or a lapse in traffic discipline on the stretch, officials said.
