AGARTALA: The Sadar District Congress Committee organized a mass sit-in demonstration to protest against the recent hike in electricity tariffs and the rising prices of essential commodities, party sources said.
Congress workers and supporters participated in the demonstration, voicing opposition to the government’s decision to increase power tariffs, which they said has added to the burden on common people already struggling with inflation.
