Daily Traffic Chaos Outside Bishramganj School Sparks Demand for Traffic Police

BISHRAMGANJ: Residents and parents in Sipahijala district have demanded the deployment of traffic police outside Lal Tilla Don Bosco School in Bishramganj, where severe congestion disrupts the Bishramganj-Melaghar road every day at school dismissal time.

According to locals, the busy stretch near the Bishramganj Electric Office comes to a near-standstill for about 15 minutes daily as students head home and parents gather to receive them. With no traffic police or control mechanism in place during dismissal hours, long queues of vehicles build up, causing hardship for schoolchildren, parents, pedestrians and passenger vehicles alike.

Parents said the problem recurs daily, yet no permanent measure has been taken by the administration so far. They have called for traffic police to be deployed during school hours to safeguard children’s safety and ensure smooth vehicular movement.

Residents expressed hope that authorities will take swift note of the issue and introduce the necessary traffic control arrangements, allowing students and commuters to travel without disruption.

The daily congestion has become a persistent civic concern for the area, with residents making traffic police deployment their foremost demand.
