AGARTALA: The All India Lawyers Union (AILU) is set to submit a memorandum to the Governor today at 4:30 PM, demanding a judicial inquiry into the unnatural death of Anurag Dhankhar, to be led by a sitting judge of the High Court.
According to the organisation, the demand for a judicial probe stems from concerns over the circumstances surrounding Dhankhar’s death, which they have termed “unnatural,” prompting calls for an independent and impartial investigation.
AILU representatives are expected to meet the Governor in person to formally hand over the memorandum, urging the state administration to ensure a thorough and transparent inquiry into the matter.
The organisation has emphasised that a probe conducted under the supervision of a sitting High Court judge would help ensure accountability and public confidence in the investigation process.
