BJP Yuva Morcha Protests, Demands Action Against Congress Workers Over CM Residence Incident

AGARTALA: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) staged a protest march demanding the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of Congress workers accused of creating disorder in front of the Chief Minister’s official residence.

According to BJYM leaders, the protest was organised in response to what they described as an act of anarchy allegedly perpetrated by Congress supporters outside the Chief Minister’s residence. Yuva Morcha activists took part in large numbers, raising slogans and carrying placards as they marched through the city demanding strict action against those involved.

The protesters alleged that such conduct outside the residence of the state’s highest elected office amounted to a serious breach of law and order, and called on the administration to identify and arrest those responsible without delay.

BJYM leaders further demanded that exemplary punishment be handed down to deter similar incidents in the future, asserting that no leniency should be shown regardless of political affiliation.

The march passed off peacefully, with police present to monitor the situation. Further details regarding the original incident and any subsequent police action are awaited.

The protest adds to the ongoing political tension between the ruling BJP and opposition Congress in the state.
