Youth Congress leaders on Saturday extended their support to students who have been staging a protest for five consecutive days at the Circuit House area in Agartala, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The Youth Congress leadership visited the protest site to stand in solidarity with the agitating students, lending political backing to the ongoing demonstration. Their presence added momentum to the protest, which has continued uninterrupted since it began five days ago.
The students’ sustained agitation has kept up pressure on the administration, though there has been no official response so far regarding their demand. With political parties now stepping in to back the movement, the protest appears set to gain further traction in the coming days.
