AGARTALA: A special seminar addressing student issues was organised jointly by the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) and Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress at Student Health Home here.
The seminar was attended by AICC member B.P. Singh, who travelled from Delhi for the event, along with CWC member and MLA Sudip Roy Barman and Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President Ashish Kumar Saha. A large number of students also took part in the proceedings.
Speakers at the seminar are learnt to have deliberated on various challenges confronting students in the state, with participants exchanging views on matters concerning education, employment and student welfare.
The presence of senior party leaders from both the state and national levels underlined the importance being attached to student concerns by the Congress and its student wing. Party leaders are understood to have interacted directly with students during the programme, taking note of the issues raised by the participants.
The seminar comes at a time when student-related concerns have been drawing wide attention across the state, with various organisations stepping up engagement with the student community on issues affecting their academic and professional futures.
