DHARMANAGAR: A young lawyer of Kailasahar Court died after his motorcycle collided with a Bolero vehicle at Darchoi while he was returning home from Kailasahar, in a tragic accident that has left the legal fraternity in mourning.
The deceased has been identified as Biswajit Debbarma, 32, a resident of Nepaltilla. The accident occurred as he was travelling from Kailasahar towards his home.
Following the collision, Debbarma was first rushed to Kumarghat Hospital in an injured condition. Given the severity of his injuries, he was referred to Unakoti District Hospital, and subsequently to Silchar for advanced treatment. However, his condition deteriorated further while on the way, prompting his shift to Dharmanagar District Hospital instead. Doctors at Dharmanagar declared him dead on arrival.
News of his sudden death spread quickly, prompting his friend, Kadamtala-Kurti MLA Paldangshu, to rush to the hospital upon hearing of the tragedy.
The untimely demise of the young lawyer has sent shockwaves through Kailasahar’s legal circles, with colleagues and friends mourning the loss of a promising professional life cut short.
