AGARTALA: With Rath Yatra set to be celebrated the day after tomorrow, last-minute preparations are in full swing at the Jagannath Jiu Temple here.
Temple authorities and devotees have been engaged in cleaning, decoration, and other arrangements ahead of the festival, which marks one of the most significant occasions in the Vaishnavite calendar. The temple premises have been abuzz with activity as the city gears up to welcome the annual procession of Lord Jagannath, Sri Baladev, and Devi Subhadra.
Rath Yatra is scheduled to be observed on July 16, with elaborate celebrations planned across Agartala, including a grand chariot procession accompanied by devotional singing, dance, and community participation.
Devotees are expected to gather in large numbers at the temple in the coming days as anticipation builds ahead of the festivities.
