CM Assures No Doctor Shortage, Cites Rs 24 Crore Spend at SPM Civil Hospital

Agartala:Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who also holds the Health portfolio, addressed a press conference at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (SPM) Civil Hospital here on Sunday, speaking on healthcare services and other related issues.

The Chief Minister assured that the state would face no shortage of doctors, reaffirming the government’s commitment to strengthening the medical workforce across Tripura’s healthcare institutions.

He further informed that Rs 24 crore had been spent on upgrading SPM Civil Hospital, underlining the government’s continued investment in improving infrastructure at key state-run medical facilities.

Dr. Saha is learnt to have also touched upon other aspects of the state’s healthcare delivery system during the interaction, though further specifics were not immediately disclosed.

The press conference forms part of the government’s periodic engagement with the media to highlight progress in the health sector.
