Agartala:A photo exhibition was organised at the City Centre Art Gallery here on Sunday ahead of the upcoming Van Mahotsav (Forest Festival), showcasing visuals related to the state’s forest and wildlife conservation efforts.
The event was attended by Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma, along with Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Forest Department Principal Secretary Ravindra Kumar Shyamal, and PCCF (Administration) Chaitanya Murthy, among other senior officials.
The exhibition is part of preparatory activities leading up to Van Mahotsav, an annual tree plantation festival observed to promote environmental awareness and afforestation across the state.
Speaking on the occasion, officials are learnt to have emphasised the importance of forest conservation and public participation in afforestation drives, though specific remarks from the dignitaries were not immediately available.
