Agartala:Tripura University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Debabrata Das called on Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha at his office here on Sunday, sources said.
During the meeting, the two are learnt to have discussed matters related to the university’s academic and administrative functioning, though specific details of the discussion were not immediately disclosed.
The courtesy visit comes amid ongoing engagement between the state government and academic institutions on issues concerning higher education in Tripura. Dr. Manik Saha, who also holds charge of several key departments, has in the past held periodic interactions with heads of educational institutions to review developmental and academic matters.
No official statement regarding the outcome of the meeting has been issued by either the Chief Minister’s Office or Tripura University so far.
