AGARTALA: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has expressed optimism over the potential of the ‘Destination Tripura’ initiative, describing it as a promising step for the state’s development.
Speaking on the initiative, the Chief Minister said efforts are underway to expand international connectivity, and that he would hold discussions with the Bangladesh High Commissioner in this regard. He noted that stronger cross-border ties could open up new avenues for trade, tourism, and overall growth for Tripura, given its strategic location bordering Bangladesh.
Dr. Saha added that ‘Destination Tripura’ is aimed at positioning the state as a hub for investment and connectivity in the region, with international collaboration playing a key role in realising this vision.
Further details on the scope of the initiative, the proposed talks with the Bangladesh High Commissioner, and its expected outcomes are awaited from the Chief Minister’s office.
