TELIAMURA: Farmers in the Baishgharia (22 Bhoria) area of Teliamura are reeling under heavy losses after excessive rainfall submerged agricultural fields and washed away standing crops, leaving many with no immediate means of recovery.
According to local farmers, the continuous downpour over the past few days led to waterlogging across large stretches of cultivated land in the area, damaging crops that were nearing harvest. Several farmers said the flooding has wiped out their season’s produce, dealing a severe blow to their livelihoods.
Residents said the extent of the damage has left the farming community distressed, with many expressing uncertainty over how they will recover the losses in the absence of immediate support.
