AGARTALA: A petrol bomb attack on the residence of a local businessman in Town Pratapgarh has left the family and neighbourhood residents in a state of fear, with CCTV footage reportedly capturing two unidentified young men carrying out the act at night.
The house, located on Suresh Das Lane, belongs to the owner of Agartala’s Janata Hotel. According to the complainants, the incident was reported to police the following day, but no update on the progress of the investigation has been provided so far.
The businessman’s family alleged that the delay in police action has left them anxious about their safety, with the CCTV footage said to be the key evidence available in the case.
Residents in the area have also expressed concern, saying the incident has created unease in the neighbourhood.
Police are yet to comment officially on the case or confirm whether any suspects have been identified based on the CCTV evidence.
