BISHALGARH: Police arrested five people on Monday afternoon in connection with a robbery-cum-abduction case reported in the Bishalgarh area, even as the alleged mastermind behind the crime, identified as Ferdous, remains at large.
Addressing the media, District Superintendent of Police Bijoy Debbarma shared details of the case, stating that the five arrested individuals were allegedly accomplices in the crime, acting under the direction of Ferdous, who police believe orchestrated the robbery and abduction.
According to police sources, the incident involved the alleged robbery and abduction of a victim in the Bishalgarh area, prompting a swift investigation that led to the arrests. The SP said that efforts were underway to track down and apprehend the alleged mastermind, with search operations currently in progress.
Police have not yet disclosed the identities of the five arrested accomplices or further specifics regarding the victim and the exact circumstances of the incident.
The SP assured that the investigation was ongoing and that all those involved, including the absconding mastermind, would be brought to justice.
