MLA Extends Aid to Chronically Ill Girl, Seeks PM Relief Fund Assistance

Agartala:Rajiv Bhattacharya, a Member of the Legislative Assembly, visited the residence of Manshri Debnath at Badarghata on Monday to assess her medical condition and extend financial support for her ongoing treatment.

Debnath, a state resident, has been battling a chronic ailment requiring extensive medical care and substantial financial resources. The family reportedly faces significant financial constraints in arranging advanced treatment facilities.

During the visit, Bhattacharya provided direct financial assistance to support Debnath’s medical expenses. He also furnished a letter requesting financial aid from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to facilitate her advanced medical care.

The legislator’s intervention reflects efforts by elected representatives to address health-related hardships among constituents facing economic difficulties. The PM Relief Fund application aims to secure additional resources for Debnath’s continued treatment.

The family’s medical situation underscores the financial burden chronic illnesses place on households, particularly those with limited economic capacity. Government assistance schemes, including relief fund allocations, are designed to bridge such gaps and ensure access to necessary healthcare.

Bhattacharya’s action demonstrates the role of elected officials in advocating for constituents seeking government support mechanisms. The outcome of the PM Relief Fund application remains pending.
