This year, that window points to the week of September 8. However, analysts say that date may not be practical.
September 8 falls immediately after the Labor Day holiday, a long weekend in the United States when millions travel. Apple typically flies in journalists, analysts and media representatives from across the country — and around the world — for its launch event. Hosting the keynote right after a major holiday could create logistical headaches, from travel delays to staffing challenges.
A report from Forbes adds that Apple could theoretically push the event to Monday, September 14 if production schedules slip, though such a delay is considered unlikely. Apple prefers mid‑week keynotes, and historically avoids Monday events unless absolutely necessary.
