New Civil Hospital at Kansaripatty Set to Open Soon for Agartala Residents

Agartala: A new civil hospital at Kansaripatty is set to be inaugurated soon for the residents of the state capital, with senior officials visiting the site on Friday to review final preparations ahead of the launch.

Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Mayor Deepak Majumder, along with other senior officials, inspected the facility to assess its readiness and ensure all necessary arrangements are in place before the hospital opens to the public.

The upcoming healthcare facility is expected to significantly ease the burden on existing hospitals in Agartala, providing residents of the Kansaripatty area and surrounding localities with easier access to medical services closer to home.

During the visit, officials reviewed infrastructure, staffing, and equipment readiness at the facility, though an exact inauguration date is yet to be officially announced.

The initiative comes as part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure across Tripura, particularly in urban centres experiencing rising demand for accessible medical care.

Local residents have welcomed the development, with many expressing hope that the new facility will reduce overcrowding at other government hospitals in the city and improve emergency response times in the area.
