AGARTALA: A review meeting was held on Thursday to assess the work carried out by the Animal Resource Development Department over the past year in the public interest, following which Minister Sudhangshu Das briefed the media at Mahakaran on the decisions taken.
The meeting reviewed the department’s performance and achievements over the past one year, with officials deliberating on various schemes and initiatives undertaken for the welfare of the public, particularly those associated with livestock rearing and animal husbandry activities across the state.
Briefing reporters after the meeting, Minister Das outlined the key decisions taken during the review, though specific details regarding the schemes discussed and future action points are yet to be elaborated further.
The department has been working on strengthening animal resource development infrastructure and services in the state as part of the government’s broader welfare agenda for the farming and livestock-dependent communities of Tripura.
