BISHRAMGANJ: In a shocking incident, thieves allegedly targeted a cremation ground in the Borjala area under Bishramganj Nagar Panchayat, making off with solar light batteries, solar panel plates, and even iron poles installed at the site.
Local residents expressed outrage over the theft, noting that the solar lighting infrastructure had been installed for the convenience of visitors using the cremation ground, particularly during the night hours.
According to locals, the theft is believed to have taken place under cover of darkness, with the culprits allegedly dismantling and carrying away the equipment without being noticed.
Residents have demanded swift action from the local administration and police to identify and apprehend those responsible for the theft. They also urged authorities to consider installing CCTV surveillance at the site to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
