AGARTALA: Deputy Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly and local MLA Ramprasad Pal on Thursday visited the residence of Samir Das, who was allegedly murdered in the suburban Kathaltali area, to express solidarity with the grieving family.
During his visit, Pal paid floral tribute to a portrait of the deceased and offered his condolences to family members. He assured them that the police investigation into the case was being closely monitored and that the perpetrators of the crime would be given appropriate punishment under the law.
The Deputy Speaker also appealed to residents of the locality to maintain peace and order, urging them not to take the law into their own hands and to allow the investigation to proceed through due process.
The murder of Samir Das had earlier triggered tension and concern among local residents, prompting heightened police vigilance in the area. Pal’s visit is seen as part of efforts by local representatives to reassure the public and maintain calm following the incident.
